Division Description
VERITAL s marine division acts as a delegate of the public authorities represented by the merchant marine and ports directorate. It carries out statutory visits of ships flying the national flag, new construction monitoring, technical assistance, maritime expertise and investigations into serious accidents and incidents. Activities include regulatory visits and inspections related to International Maritime Organization conventions (SOLAS, MARPOL, LLIC, COLREG, STCW) and the International Labor Organization convention. The division also ensures construction monitoring (ongoing visits, quayside and sea trials, commissioning visits) and post-construction monitoring (seaworthiness visits, modification control).
